OUR JOURNEY

​​Five years ago, I thought archery was outdated. The "Old way." I had never picked up a bow and never felt drawn to it. Then my family went on our first rifle elk hunt, and everything changed. Not because of the rifle, but because of the elk. The effort it demanded, the country it pulled us into, and the respect it required stayed with us long after the season ended.

That experience reshaped how we thought about hunting. We realized archery season wasn’t a backup plan. It was the best opportunity to hunt elk with intention. More time in the field. Closer encounters. A deeper connection to the animal, the land, and the work required to earn the moment.

So, I bought a bow and taught myself how to shoot. I learned from a lot of local archers, who, though too humble to admit, are very good, perhaps the best in the valley, if not west of the Mississippi River. 

It wasn’t graceful. There were missed shots, sore muscles, frustration, and a lot of learning done the hard way. But that process changed me. By the next elk season, archery wasn’t just something we were trying. It became how we hunted. Today, we primarily archery hunt; deer, elk, turkey, anything and everything that can be hunted in the Great State of Idaho.

That journey matters because it taught us something important: it’s never too late to start learning something meaningful. Some of the best traditions aren’t outdated. They’re timeless.

Whether you’re brand new to archery or returning to it after years away, we believe everyone deserves patience, respect, and honest guidance. This shop exists to help people learn, improve, and reconnect with a way of hunting that asks more, but gives more in return.
